I’m tired of guessing which country the author is from when they use cup measurement and how densely they put flour in it.

And some liquids have varying density wich would result in bad consistency as well. And rice? Its just 1 unit to 3 units of volume to be good. You can mesure with whatever you want for that, it doesn’t need accuracy.
