It’s not because they want to, it’s because Israel has stolen all of their land they could use to support themselves, and has locked them in an open air prison eliminating the opportunity for a functioning export-driven economy that cities typically use to import the materials they don’t have immediately around them. It’s like locking someone in a prison cell and then “generously” providing them with a daily meal and water.
