Source is season 1, episode 7. This clip sticks out to me from this show, because as it was happening, I remember turning to my wife and arguing how there is so much kinetic energy involved in a meteor that size, that the city is more or less destroyed by it even getting that close. That an event powerful enough to stop said meteor would end up destroying the city anyway. Turns out, somebody was listening to me.
