A promising start so far.
Usato and the other characters seem interesting and likeable so far.
It’s not really clear yet why Healing magic is so bad, but I suppose we’ll find out…

I think this is the best aspect of this story (I am up to date on the manga, but not read the novels). The ensemble of characters are compelling and have good chemistry with one another. In particular, Rose’s character is great and I the opening parts of this story are my favorite, a big contributor to that is that some later arcs feature a lot less of her.

Yeah, my favorite part of this series is the ensemble. Specifically, the rescue squad is a lot of fun. So if you aren’t connecting with it after the next episode or two, it probably won’t.
It has been quite a while since I have read the beginning of this story (I read the manga, not the light novel), so I didn’t remember that he was summoned accidentally. One thing I like about the beginning part of this story is that the king and his subjects seem to generally be supportive of the summoned people and not mustache-twirling bad guys like so many other isekais.
Finally, it was great to see Rose in anime form. They really made her menacing in her introduction and her kidnapping Usato. I am not sure how far into the story this season is going to get, but the more Rose we see on screen, the better!
