I watched the first episode of its first season, but didn’t really enjoy it that much. From what I gather, the series changes quite a bit partway in from an edgy teenager having edgy thoughts to a pretty fluffy romance story. But, I just didn’t really enjoy the beginning of the story to get past it.
This is another romance, but I am not really familiar at all with it.
I was surprised as well because I had seen so much Solo Leveling hype prior to the start of the season. However, Anime Corner has a tendency to have some surprising results, especially early in a season. Iirc, Kingdoms of Ruin had a brief run at or near the top of this chart last season, but quickly fell further down, finishing 19th overall for the season (discussion post).
