Things start to go south in the fantasy kingdom too.

Curiously, the “star” of this episode was P-chan, although through an indirect way from the usual self-exposition, we learned a little about his background and how he feels about how things are going in the story.

    With the

    spoiler

    Viscount’s sudden death off screen

I guess the writers are telling us not to get attached to any one character

But this episode was a little slow compared to the first 2.

So, just wanted to pop into the most recent discussion thread for this show to say that I started watching this series (up through episode 2 right now). It has been more fun than I had guessed before the season started based on visuals. If it wasn’t for folks on this community recommending it to me I would have completely let it slip by. The animation is clearly rough sometimes. The fight in episode 2 felt like a slideshow, but the story has kept my interest so far.

Alright, ducking back out of this thread quick before I see things I shouldn’t.

For some reason, the nebbish MC reminds me of the one from My Home Hero.

The feel of the story is similar, despite the settings and character motivations being entirely different.

I tried, but I can’t find any staff or writers shared between these two series.

I’m not sure why I wanted to say that.

I think Sasaki is only reminiscent of the guy from My Home Hero because they’re both middle-aged salarymen who are smarter than they appear. In my mind, that doesn’t seem like enough for there to be a relationship between the series.
