While the game's development started in Unreal Engine, Blizzard switched to its in-house Synapse engine, which was originally created for mobile games.

      Alternate take: the game may have been 2-4 years out and smart money bets the genre will have moved on by then.

      I hope they get something good out of it but the last 6 years of blizzard haven’t made me think they did anything good with their time tbh
