Dungeon Meshi is a well liked manga, and an adaptation by Studio Trigger is now airing. If you haven’t picked this one up, consider joining us. Both for fun and as a way of contributing to activity on Lemmy.

HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT!

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE PAINTING CHAPTER! THIS EPISODE IS FULL OF LORE, GUYS!

Let’s hear your theories on what the past events in the paintings are about, and what significance the people in them had.

The gang has some trouble finding food, but things work out before long. Laios learns that despite being the party leader, he is the youngest. Marcille is a round 50, while Senshi is 112. That leaves Laios at 26, three years younger than Chilchuck.

Remember not to spoil anything if you’re a manga reader, but feel free to elaborate on tidbits of lore that may not be coming through in the adaptation.

More depictions of a winged lion.

I had no memory of Derghal being mentioned in the paintings. That’s such a cool detail about the old kingdom.

Chilchucks suffering at the hands of traps and his party, continues, and we again see many trademark Trigger facial expressions :D Marcilles voice has real concern in it when she though Chilchuck was dead, and I found it really fun how he the first thing he does after nearly dying is to start repairing his gear. And Marcy helps out.

And Marcille is so damn cute! Finally seeing her animated and voiced continues to be a complete delight! Sleepy pajama Marcy makes me feel things :D

        Ur spoilers don’t work.

The start needs to be ::: spoiler and then the end can be just :::. I think the end and start needs to be on their own lines, as well.

You can also give it a title like in my comment, by writing it after spoiler.

No. The word spoiler is part of it. The start is ::: spoiler and then then the end is just :::.

If you want it to have a title you do: ::: spoiler Title goes here, after the word "spoiler"

            That results in this:

Title goes here, after the word "spoiler"

This was hidden! And you’ll notice that the word “spoiler” before the title doesn’t show up, it’s part of the spoiler formatting.

You can also look at how my actual spoilers are formatted by using the raw text button in the webUI to see how it’s done. Or just use the spoiler button to insert one in some clients.

I am having trouble since your spoiler tags don’t appear to work on my instance or app, unclear which. Thanks for helping me debug

              Visible Text

              Hidden text, maybe? Or something.

                That one works.

Instance doesn’t matter. What app are you using?

Some don’t support spoilers as the formatting is not standard markdown, but Thunder for example is getting it in the next update.

Already working for me as I am on the pre-release version.

My favorite Marcille face this time was when she was chowing down on the mimic leg like it was an ear of corn or something like that:

Even though she wasn’t a focus this episode, she continues to be a highlight.
