      “is it for a clock” sounds like “is it 4 o’clock” and since he doesn’t have batteries in his clock he doesn’t know.

        Of fuck I’m way too high for this. I thought the clocks were some weird machine and it’s a reference to some movie or shit where the guy tries to fix some machine :D

          I thought he needed batteries for a flashlight or something to see the clock and the lack of light meant he didn’t know if the clock was working.

      Shopkeeper: is it (the battery) for a clock?

      Customer hears, is it four o’clock?

      Customer: I don’t know, that’s why I need a battery
