Can someone explain this to me?
“is it for a clock” sounds like “is it 4 o’clock” and since he doesn’t have batteries in his clock he doesn’t know.
Of fuck I’m way too high for this. I thought the clocks were some weird machine and it’s a reference to some movie or shit where the guy tries to fix some machine :D
I thought he needed batteries for a flashlight or something to see the clock and the lack of light meant he didn’t know if the clock was working.
Ooof. That one went way over my head for some reason
If op didn’t use that title I’d have been lost too
Lol don’t worry, same. Probably better told than written. Still a good dad joke I’d not heard before haha.
Customer: I need a battery (for my clock) so I can tell the time
Shopkeeper: is it (the battery) for a clock?
Customer hears, is it four o’clock?
Customer: I don’t know, that’s why I need a battery
The man on the left has come in possession of a mysterious artifact. He has theorized it is a clock, but won’t know for certain until he purchases and inserts batteries.
Definitely this
