This was definitely the most boring episode so far. The guy even gains skils by having sex… And even all the human girls like him for some reason. Even after his tribe killed all their allies.

He’s using those skills during sex. If you’ll recall he picked up [Golden Thread] when he killed and ate a Golden Spider earlier in the episode, for example.

This is easily the most 3/10 anime ever lmao

Decent animation, okay concept, shit writing. Even past the power trip fantasy stuff, it felt like someone was reading me their diary.

    Talk about power trip fantasy…

A huge pile of wealth and artifacts pretty much just fall into his hands…

There’s some off camera gaining of defeated human adventurers’ abilities, implying he ate their bodies. Technically he’s not human, so it’s not cannibalism…

I have a little problem with all of the captive human women wanting the MC because it seems like they have a bad case of Stockholm syndrome…

From a goblin/ogre’s POV, I guess there’s nothing wrong with everything that happened, but to me, a human viewer, it’s somewhat disturbing however much the writer/director makes light of it.

      I can’t agree more. Dropped.

I’m pretty jaded, and watch and read disturbing stuff all the time.

As long as one maintains awareness of how the material is being manipulated, and be willing to call it out, it can only expand your horizons.

Idk, Goblin Slayer was pretty gross, but it was manageable within context.

          This show is just weird

I was going to say this show is the flip side of Goblin Slayer, showing that life as a goblin isn’t all fun and games either.

Yes, but in Goblin Slayer the human victims didn’t fall in love with the goblins and had severe psychological trauma as a result of what happened to them.

Here the human girls are reduced to sex wish fulfillment for the reader: “wohoo you goblins killed my friends and abducted me, please let me ride this tasty MC dick in a orgy”. I had more respect for the show in the first episode where the first group of girls rather took poison.

I agree with that. It’s called Stockholm Syndrome

I’m not sure whether that’s the writer’s intent, and we’re going to see what happens if some of the captives wake up to what they’re doing…

It just occurred to me that one or more of the human adventurers in the party that Goburou ate must have been a player character because NPCs don’t usually have inventory boxes.
