We finally get to see Kazuma’s lighter be made after he pitched the idea to Vanir so long ago. I like the designs, though they are a bit on the unwieldy side. Not so easy to stick a Mobile Fortress Destroyer in your pocket and carry it around with you. Seems like it was a team effort to get the product across the finish line with even Wiz trying her best to actually sell things. There was one notable exception though (@rikka@ani.social):

I think the second half of this episode went better than I had expected. I think that the group was uncharacteristically calm when being called liars. Glad it all worked out in the end. I guess Kazuma has now upgraded to an even larger mansion and can really start kicking back and enjoying a relaxing life of entertaining royalty. Not too sure what the princess saw in Kazuma that made her so interested considering his “battle” with her knight. Perhaps there is a screw loose in her head just like pretty much every other character in this series.

I really liked the ED song btw. It’s really silly that the giant frog tadpoles just seem to flop around on land and don’t like to be in water.

With how goofy Darkness usually is, it’s easy to forget just how insanely durable she actually is, tanking a sword hit with your bare arm with nothing but a slight cut!

Drinking anything while watching this show is once again a horrible idea…

That intro went well for a grand total of no time at all, poor Kazuma. Granted I don’t think he’d be a better fit with any other party. I think this is the first time I’ve seen Aqua’s Party tricks turn out as a net positive for the party, although the encounter isn’t over yet so I might come to eat my words.

Props to Aqua for holding in the laughter at Kazuma’s absolute BS of an origin story, even more so given how she is apparently set on emptying the royal wine cellar all by her lonesome.

Damn how high is Darkness Lalatina’s DEF stat? Casually hand blocking that sword strike…

Kazuma using steal on a woman, ain’t no way that’s gonna turn out as planned and nope it does not indeed.

Did… did the Loli just kidnap the Scumbag? Doesn’t that usually go the other way around? Did no one in the palace give Iris lessons in human decency? On the other hand nah she’ll be right at home with the other misfits we know so far.
