    That’s only 15,000 times further away than we’ve ever sent an object with mass. Also it’s in a specific direction, which is not what we did with our furthest away object.

      Yeah, not to mention the procession of the planet’s star around the galactic centre would be an absolute bitch. The best we could hope for in terms of any craft’s travel time is likely around 160 years, and even then only with major advancements in propulsion technology.
