Yeah, I think Sherlock is the best comparison and it is what I kept referencing in my head when I watched the series. Excellent Sherlock-type story with an Imperial China flavor to it all.
It keeps the story going well enough with the palace intrigue but how it ties into her apothecary work is just icing! ☺️
