I have written about this manga before over in the !manga@ani.social community. It is an absolute mess of teenage drama and bit of a guilty pleasure. I really like the way they did this opening episode with half the episode from Rumi’s perspective and half the episode from Naori’s perspective; both going through common events but from different perspectives. If I remember the manga correctly, Jun’s thinking is also provided through here, so the way they sequenced this in the opening episode really puts the twins front and center. To be honest, their relationship is probably the most interesting one in what I have read of this series so far.

I have not read far into this series and I fully expect this season to blow past what I have read of the manga. To help set expectations for people coming into this series blind though, expect a mess. If you ever watched a love triangle play out in a show or movie and thought to yourself that everything worked out a bit too cleanly, then this is the answer to that.

One of my favorite things about this series is that all three of these characters have genuine feelings for each other and it feels genuine rather than contrived. The sisters really do love and support each other. Jun truly cares for each of the twins, with distinct and meaningful experiences with each of them. Also, from what I have read, nothing changes about that. Relationships come and go, but the feelings never leave. The three are truly caught in a problem with no solution; there basically has to be winners and losers.
