If there wasn’t Oshi No Ko, this would be the show of the season for me.

Outstanding direction and art, it’s kind of like Mob in Feudal Japan, it shares producers and episode directors from Bocchi The Rock: Komuro, Yuuichirou; Kawakami, Yuusuke; and producer Umehara, Shouta

Loony and nasty villains, loony protagonists, and the bloody cruelty of the Shoguns-and-samurai age.

If you like shock porn, a la Game Of Thrones, then this show is for you.

Not knowing much Japanese history, this is probably only loosely based on actual events.

As for this episode itself, they did a great job of setting up this villain and his freakishly frightening abilities… and then a cliffhanger!
