It seems more otome people have been getting on the Fediverse lately.

BlerdyOtome is on it, kind of, via web.brid.gy (found out about that thanks to @berin@discuss.tchncs.de, thank you!). Frustratingly enough, searching for her via @blerdyotome.com@web.brid.gy, which is how you are supposed to do it works on Mbin but not Lemmy. It does work on Mastodon: https://mastodon.social/@blerdyotome.com@web.brid.gy EDIT: Also thanks to @berin@discuss.tchncs.de I found out she has a Mastodon: https://mastodon.social/@blerdyotome

OtomeKitten is here on https://mastodon.social/@otomekitten.

I think both BlerdyOtome and OtomeKitten are not actually checking those accounts, just reflecting their posts on their main sites over to Fediverse platforms, but hey, at least they know we’re alive!

The two otome creators I know that are here are

There was a VN creator who did amare, perhaps otome, that I found on Fedi but I do not remember their name. I’ll put them here if I remember.

    Found this on their rules:

This is especially important when marginalised people speak about their experiences of marginalisation. For example, if you are not BIPOC, don’t tell BIPOC to hide their experiences of racism behind CWs.

I have a feeling my need to not see this on social media funtime as opposed to my “stay informed” time, to not end up doomscrolling/stressed/despairing about the world will not be taken kindly, even though I am a POC myself, though not black or indigenous. Are you able to filter your content on that instance well enough to avoid politics and accounts of marginalization? I want to join but a lot of servers have some political post on the first ten posts, and I do not know too much about what options Mastodon has to filter content, or if I can restrict to people and hashtags I follow.

I curate my home feed by mostly following accounts that put politics and stuff under a CW.

You are able to filter posts by searchterms and tags, but that might not remove everything, so I’d use the local and federated timeline with caution if you’re worried about that.

I personally use the filter feature to remove all genAI images and that works pretty well for me so far^^

It also helps that I’m mainly a…proactive? user and tend to seek out interesting posts with selfmade feeds instead of solely relying on my timeline.

So there is an option to just look at subs and ignore local/federated/all like Lemmy? That is how I do it here

        Thank you for helping :)
