In 1921 the first vaccine for tuberculosis came out. In 2021 1.6 million people died from tuberculosis.
The medicine existing is great, but something tells me the people who need won’t be getting it.
It’s my understanding that the TB vaccine is not all that effective. You’ll also test positive with TB skin tests for the rest of your life.
Edit: did some looking and it’s pretty effective in babies just not in adults.
Less effective is still better than no effect from being unvaccinated.
