Former United States President Bill Clinton is facing backlash from US Muslim and Arab Americans after saying Israel has been “forced” to kill civilians in Gaza and suggesting the country was in the Holy Land “first” – before the Palestinians.

Speaking at a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in Michigan, a crucial swing US state with large Arab and Muslim populations who the Democrats are trying to win over, Clinton said he understood people’s concerns about the bloodshed in Gaza, but said Israel had no choice but to inflict large civilian losses, even as it is accused of genocide in the International Court of Justice.

For fucks sake, the Democratic establishment just seems to be composed almost entirely of people who are absolute champions at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Seriously, I’m moving if Harris can’t pull out a win.

I wish I could move, but I wouldn’t have enough money to do so, nor do I have the necessary “high skilled worker attributes” either.

Same here, I feel your pain…

The best I could hope for is possibly teaching English in another country, but I don’t know the exact requirements for that.

If you live in a blue state, have you thought about moving to a red state? If enough people do, they’ll turn blue. (Seriously, California could easily flip the federal government by taking over a few red states. Please come to Arkansas and help us save it.)

I think this applies to all red states, because basically all American cities lean left, but in the end your life is being affected by a republican state government and that can’t be a good time. I mean you could be living in a lefty haven in Texas but you still can’t get an abortion, for example.

The low cost of living is nice.

Worrying about literally everything that the state government does and knowing that my neighbors, at best, care more about political alignment with their neighbors than they care about the wellbeing of the people or their freedom is not nice.

There are just under 200,000 registered Republicans in Wyoming. If ~200,000 Democrats moved there long enough to establish residence, they could get a Democratic senator in 2026. Doesn’t seem insurmountable.
