          That’s Ginko from Mushishi. Probably my favorite anime of all time. Definitely worth a watch at some point. My recommendation though is always to just do at most one episode at a time. The show is very contemplative and I think it benefits from having each episode kind of roll around in your head a bit instead of bingeing your way through it. Relevant video essay about the show.

            It’s an anime that is collecting dust in my library for years now but I never got to it. I’ll bump it up on my PTW list. Especially the contemplative part sounds a lot like my favorite anime, Haibane Renmei.

            And would you believe it there’s even an relevant video essay about it as well :) (beyond ghibli is one of my favorite essay channels and I think that this was the source why I added Mushishi to my library back when the video cam out)
