This episode marks the beginning of the final stretch of the anime (only 2 or 3 episodes left). It’s sad that the animation is so far below what the Precure franchise usually offers fans during these last episodes.
I even thought that Toei was “saving up” now to deliver something more polished at the end, but after noticing the amount of “weird faces” throughout the recent episodes, my perspective changed. I believe Toei isn’t able to deliver anything better simply because the studio doesn’t have the time, and this is the best they can offer at the moment.
Mirai Days is set to premiere next Sunday, and Idol Precure is already scheduled to have its first episode on February 2nd.
I think Toei might still pull off a decent final “fight” against Gaou, but they’ll likely divert most of their resources to the new series. Anyway, I hope I “eat my words” and Toei delivers a spectacular show in these last 3 episodes, lol. Hope is the last thing to die, after all.
