So much stalling in the last episodes. It is so off-putting when a fight is stretched out to fill out three or four episodes. The MC internal dialogues were very repetitive and just there to delay story progression.
This Dragonball way of storytelling is one of the tropes I hate more in anime.
We got the Akitsuakane reveal, she called Sunraku senpai which worried Rei a bit, but to her relief she just met him once in BERP. She was quite an achiever though, got marked by one of the Seven Colossi and arrived at the high-level area where Sunraku was while still being level 43.
Sunraku figured out one of Lycagon’s secrets this episode and seemed to have some trick up his sleeve with Suzaku. 3 episodes (and continuing) for a fight feels long, but I guess they are giving Lycagon a fight a Colossus deserves.
Oh, and we got new OP and ED songs too.

Yeah… 1% HP left, tanking a boss he doesn’t even know if he’ll encounter again if he loses, no healing or MP potions left, and only in moments of desperation does the player turn into a legend just to avoid losing a rare drop. Let’s go, King! Slash that Shikamaru pet with your blade!
And as for Sunraku, do you think he’ll sacrifice Suzaku by throwing him at Lycaon’s head?
