That makes two of us. Plus I need to start that one you rec’ed to me (Campfire something or another? I’m sorry, I’m fucking terrible with this kind of thing)
Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. Please bear in mind that I don’t think it’s especially good (but not terribly bad either), just that it has similarities to The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper with the online shopping isekai skill aspect. Personally I found it entertaining enough for a couple volumes. Especially early on when they clearly marked the cooking recipe parts so that I could just skim/skip them easily. Later volumes became somewhat repetitive and started to bore me, so I haven’t picked up the last couple ones yet. They’re in my backlog (which is way too long by this point).
Ah. In that case, what novels would you recommend? I wouldn’t be against adding another series to my list.
My personal top 3 are:
#1 Ascendance of a Bookworm (who would have thought…)
#2 Cooking With Wild Game (I stand firm in my opinion that his is the series that’s most similar to Bookworm even though nobody believes me. They’re wrong. I am right.)
#3 Tearmoon Empire (You’ve probably seen me bitch about the later volume’s translation but that’s only because those early volumes were the only non-English books I’ve ever read where the translation was so good that it stood out. Before that I thought the best-case scenario would be me not noticing it like CGI in movies)
Bookworm was one that I ended up dropping for some bizarre reason. I think it was just a perceived lack of progress? As for the second, I think that was one you’ve suggested before, and I’ll give it a shot!

I think I would place it somewhere in my top 10 or top 15. But you’ve seen how many books I read so it’s still very high. And I would have placed the early volumes higher.
