    My current watchlist:

Shield Hero 3 - s3 main goal is to unite the four heroes into a single force. It’s a bit of “more of the same” so I don’t fully disagree with the vlogger, but it’s being a fun ride for me.

Shangri-La is fun. It isn’t just that SGL would be fun to play, but also that Sunraku is completely… weird? But weird in a relatable way.

Frieren is being such a wonderful ride that I’m not surprised that he’s singing its praises. A different take on fantasy, gorgeous art and scenes, a rather good (albeit overexplored IMO) theme, and there’s always some underlying melancholy that makes it beautiful.

Tearmoon Empire can be summed up in two words: “sasuga, Mia-sama!” He barely talks about it, but the show is great if you want a redemption story that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

He didn’t mention The Far Away Paladin: The Lord of the Rust Mountain. But I heavily recommend it (and its first season).

Seconded on the Faraway Paladin recommendation. There’s just nothing else like it. It may not bring the top-tier directing that Frieren offers, but the script alone is special enough to make Faraway Paladin worth anyone’s time IMO

I might have to give the anime a chance. I have had an up and down experience with the manga. I really loved the opening arc featuring his “parents” but then really struggled to get through the city-building portion of the story as it was really slow. The anime might smooth out the pacing a bit because I really like the current story in the manga (dragon fight) which seems like it is what the airing season is adapting.

Kind of wild that he was sponsored by TEIS. If only HIDIVE’s player wasn’t so terrible, I would be tempted to use it.

Man, that video was so good.
Several parts had me dying. The way he described “Protocol: Rain” was so goddamn funny, because the show takes itself really serious in the dumb way where you just think “Dude, you’re just playing a video game.” At one point, the protagonist genuinely says, he has never “truly stopped” playing the game, he always played it “in his head” and that’s why he’s not rusty…
