What’s hilarious is conservatives absolutely hate Strongtowns too, and pretty much all their policy goals are the opposite of the goal of ST. Even though Chuck Morohn is deeply conservative, he can’t really face that truth.

Honestly, with the way Mexicos leadership/politics and economy is heading, it’s positioned to be a decent power, and potentially be a more desirable location to live than the US sometime in the next century. Big fan of AMLO and hope he is setting them on a good trend. It’s probably only a matter of time before the US intervenes and makes sure they don’t go too far left though, so maybe I shouldn’t get my hopes up.
Actually I think I’m the opposite. I hate encumbrance more when it’s massive. When I played survival mode in Fallout NV, I found it so much more fun to only pick up essential items. I would commonly pick up water bottles and food instead of valuable weapons or ammo. I was usually way under my low encumbrance because I had a mindset switch to only pick up stuff that will allow me to survive the desert.
It is when you start assuming non-bigots are bad people because of what they look like.
Tbh a good percentage of Americans would turn down a million dollars if it meant minorities didn’t get it.
Monopoly can actually be a pretty quick game if you play by the rules. Which literally nobody does.
I have the Leaf 2 and would highly recommend. Works great, and is much better for your eyes. I use it every day.
If a trailer doesn’t have gameplay you can throw it straight in the garbage. Thanks.
My dude is about to become a Scooby Doo villain
But like, what does it matter if downvotes aren’t federated?

The distinction between socialism and communism gets a little silly imo. Some people claim that communism is a stateless society, and that countries like the Soviet Union practiced socialism, which is just a stepping stone towards communism. You seem to be implying the opposite. Either way, there’s like a million different things you could call these ideologies (state-socialism, market socialism, democratic-socialism, communism, anarcho-communism, Stalinism, etc)
Ultimately, I just want workers to own the means of production in my city, whatever you want to call that.
All the problems we have in current cities are problems we choose to have.
“That is not how you make a city irl.”
Have you ever been to the US? Because unfortunately, it’s actually like that irl. It’s a large reason why our cities are completely broken.
Eh, there’s probably some easy workarounds to be “good enough”. Subsidized public housing (which I think will be in base game) to ensure zero homelessness, rent control measures, being able to tax the shit out of high income earners and provide subsidies to low income earners, and free/publicly funded public services like healthcare, education, transit (which should be in the base game) and I’ll be mostly happy.
Guillotine for billionaires would certainly be fun, but I’ll live without it. Having an economy 100% controlled by the state would be a bit too much micromanagement for me so I’m fine with business creation being driven by market needs.
Do… do you not understand that city design and political and economic ideology are inextricably linked?
I hope it isn’t locked into a liberalism ideology too much. If I want to make food and housing a human right, workers employed by the state, and/or democratically owned workplaces do I have the option for that?
My utopian city has no landlords or bourgeoisie and I hope I can make that happen.
Good point. Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely not in support of them getting a patent for it, and I’m against patents in general. I’m just saying I loved it more than I expected, and want to see it more.
I will say that map loading screen thing is obvious but I’ve never seen it before in a video game and it was a small detail I really loved.
I think they underestimated how dramatic this community can be. Which is surprising considering the map size whining that happened.
