I just read the first couple chapters and it is pretty cute. I am a total sucker for “robot learning about emotions” stories, so I am surprised I hadn’t seen this one before. Favorite chapter I have read so far was chapter 6 in which Mina became jealous of the microwave.
It is a romance with a robot, but part of its charm is that it’s really just a romance. The fact that she’s a robot is significant to some of the other characters, and it has effects on the events, but it’s ultimately irrelevant to him. He doesn’t love her because she’s a robot or in spite of the fact that she’s a robot - she’s just the one he loves and that’s the way it is.
And love (and the things it breeds - tolerance, kindness, generosity, etc.) are recurring themes throughout, and arguably the real central point of the manga.
