We got the showdown this week between the humanoid shuuki and the Anti Demon Corps. Overall, it seems like the ADC was coming out on top until this happened:
Seems like the finale is going to be another big showdown with perhaps a bit of a denouement afterward (hopefully putting Nei’s mind at ease). I still can’t help but feel like this whole season is really just a prologue to the main story. We are just now going to see some of the characters that have been teased for ~1/2 the season or so. Also, there are some major characters that we haven’t even seen at all yet, the ADC Supreme Commander being the most obvious example and the other squad captains a close second.
In a way, I kind of see it similarly to Bleach. I watched the first couple arcs of that show and it isn’t until you are pretty deep in that you finally get to meet all the other shinigami captains and Aizen. It feels like this story has yet to reach that phase.
In any case, probably the most heartbreaking thing this episode is this:
Noo! Teach us Nei-senpai!
Anyway, a couple other things I enjoyed this episode:
Tenka imagining her life with Yuuki and Aoba had some pretty funny moments.
Shushu and Sahara’s Formation S plan and how they did the thing that everybody was joking Ant Man should do to Thanos. That cracked me up (just like it did the kuma).
Himari’s Full Burst move was utterly ridiculous (in a funny way). Heavy is the head that wears the crown of guns.
