I’m glad to see Yuuki finally getting some respect from Himari. And kisses. The fight with her sister was really fun to follow, specially as they try to handle time rewinding, plus there’s that “beating the old bully” vibe in it.
I wonder who the next episode will be focused to. Nei-senpai for some wholesomeness, perhaps? Her recon abilities are rather interesting.
Well, the next episode’s title is “Blitz, Sahara, Twinkle.” So, I am expecting Sahara to do her thing to Shushu. We already know Shushu’s ability, so it makes sense that the new characters get some time to shine. I am really waiting to see Tenka go off as she is the commander of the 6th division and must have some ability even more amazing than controlling time? Perhaps the next match will get interrupted by the baddies that we saw at the end and Tenka will step up and chase them off.
Time for some sister on sister action in this ecchi series. Wait, that came out wrong. In any case, Himari and Yuuki had to come up with some way to fight against somebody that could stop and rewind time. The strategy they came up with makes sense, have her waste her ability until she uses up her spell slots. It was a sound strategy that would have worked if Yachiho hadn’t unlocked her super pose ability. I think Tenka was right to scold Yachiho after the fight. She could have ended it right there instead of giving some speech and playing mind games with Himari.
In any case, did I understand the conversation between Tenka and Yachiho correctly in that the fight could have been over with that first punch, but Yuuki held back? If so, it isn’t clear if Himari and Yuuki even realize it. Perhaps he subconsciously held back because it was another human. It’s something he is likely going to have to overcome if he ends up fighting the human-shuuki beings like Aoba.
Honestly, the reward scenes this episode had me literally laughing out loud. The animation made it look so awkward. Also, the thing they do in anime/manga where they pass liquid mouth to mouth like that is almost impossible to do irl. Have you ever tried it? Don’t. It just gets water everywhere and makes a big mess. In any case, at least Shushu is in the know now about what is physically demanding about Kyouka’s ability.
Coming into this episode, I had thought that this was just going to be Himari vs. Yachiho and that was it. But, instead it seems like there are going to be more rounds of fighting. Seems ill advised if you ask me since you are holding this competition in Mato, essentially enemy territory. What would happen if the enemy shows up after the fights and everybody is exhausted…and, there it is.
