It feels like this is the start of the actual main story. We finally learn the identity of this Miyu and the fate of the old Miyu. It’s murder mystery from here on out.
Yeah - this definitely felt like it was just filling in some gaps - not enough to give away any secrets, but just enough to sort of firm up the foundation, so that it can then go on with the story.
It reminds me a bit of Oshi no Ko in the way that the murder mystery was only revealed a bit into the story and we transitioned to a revenge plot. IIRC, it happened right at the end of volume 1 and it changed the whole genre of the series. This series has been a mystery from the start, but it didn’t have this revenge plot until just now.
