Premieres sometime in 2024. New PV can be seen here. Synopsis from AniList:

Touka Mimori and his classmates are abruptly catapulted into a fantasy world, summoned by the resident goddess to serve as heroes. The good news? Most of the students display amazing skills upon arrival! The bad? Mimori is the worst of the lot, bottoming out at a measly E-rank. Incensed, the goddess tosses him into a dungeon to die–but it turns out that Mimori’s skills aren’t so much worthless as they are abnormal. Abnormally powerful, perhaps!

What are your impressions of the series if you have read it? Nothing really jumped out at me from the synopsis.

You probably know everything you need to know about this series from the title. I am not familiar with the source, but from what I have read, I might as well be. I don’t expect this series to be breaking any new ground within the genre.

So it’s another Shield Hero, maybe this one doesn’t turn to shit instead of wrapping it up after the revenge plot is finished.

The synopsis looks extremely derivative. But hey, if it’s executed well like others in this thread have said, it still might be worth a watch.

Totally. Execution can make or break a series. The animation doesn’t look too bad from the PV (and their lighting work is pretty impressive). So, we will see whenever it premieres.

Vengeance! Planned deicide! Romance without harem! Angsty anti-hero! I love this manga series, and it’s great to see it being adapted.

[from comment] I don’t expect this series to be breaking any new ground within the genre.

It isn’t ground-breaking but it’s well executed, even if it relies on that “the weakest is actually the strongest” cliché.

Sounds like the manga might be worth checking out then. I used to read loads of stuff within this genre but hadn’t seen this one. I think I burnt out on it a bit though. I might read the beginning of this series once we get closer to the release (don’t know which season it will be yet).
