Especially those that have either never gotten a video game adaptation or are underrepresented in video games. For me, I would love to see Gambit game. The X-Men series as a whole (independent from the larger Marvel comic book universe) has a lot material for a video game. Yes, there has X-Men games in the past but I want to see solo Gambit game; in style of Arkham Knight. But that’s just my idea. What are some of yours?

Mistborn, developed by Insomniac. I feel like they could really do a good push/pull traversal mechanic.

He-man would make a fun death match FPS. Crazy looking characters, silly vehicles, all sorts of locations/maps.

I want the Marvel Ultimate Alliance model to come back. Build a four-member team from a huge cast of Marvel characters. Have their powers synergize with each other in interesting ways. Get team bonuses if you have the entire Fantastic Four, or Defenders, or what-have-you. Equip different costumes from different continuities for different effects. Action RPG elements.

There were a couple for the PS2 era that were awesome, and then they made one for the 360 that had better graphics but actually a much smaller cast and wasn’t as good as it should have been given the enhanced technology. And then nothing since. Midnight Sons sounded similar but I haven’t heard great things about it. The template was perfect! Just keep making more of that!

Midnight Suns was apparently a deck builder game with cards and such, because for some reason digital card games are incredibly popular lately.

    None.

    Ever.

Moneymen in control of franchises cannot be trusted to make good games.

Before you reply, I’m sure you can think of a few where licensed characters/IP were in a game that was good, but don’t forget to look at the million shitty ones for each one of those.

Very good point. But there’s always the “fan game” or “total conversion mod” loop holes.

Naked Lunch in the style of Disco Elysium.

I honestly had this idea a long time befote Disco Elysium came out.

A murder mystery in the Interzone.

The “end” of the game could be an endless procedurally generated police chase, always on the run…

Death Gate Cycle by Wiess and Hickman (creators of Dragonlance) would make an excellent setting for an MMO or an RPG with world hopping bit and the interactions of the different races and potentially worlds depending what point in the timeline its set, to say nothing of the Serpent-Dragon war.

I need a a Blame! game. I’ve played NaissanceE and that was great for a little bit, but i am so far from sated. Unsettling superstructures are so much fun to explore.

I’d also do so many war crimes to get a game in the setting of Blue Submarine No. 6, or something close. Water is fucking awesome in video games and I’ll die on that hill.

The Expanse MMORPG. Economy. Ships. Accurate physics. Shipbuilding. NO attempt to drive the overall storyline the same as the books or show. Let people evolve the world however it plays out.
