Oh, I totally missed that Chivalry of a Failed Knight got relicensed. That’s kind of exciting, I only got to read vol 1 before it got removed from stores and I quite enjoyed it.

I am up to date on the manga adaptation of Reincarnated Aristocrat with an Appraisal Skill (anime coming this year as well). The story is alright, but not great. The MC is probably the weakest part of the story. The basic premise is that he has the ability to see peoples stats/abilities as well as their potential stats/abilities. This lets him pick out excellent retainers that society would otherwise have discarded. That part of the story is fine. The cast of characters around the MC is probably the best part. However, the MC himself is constantly outshone by the characters around him, and when he does even basic things, they are always super impressed. It would be like if I were to run a 100m race and then Usain Bolt were to swear fealty to me because of my performance.

All that said, it is fine and I like the manga art. Just go into this one with the proper expectations and it will be enjoyable. Like I said, the MC’s retinue is full of great characters, I just wish the MC was half as interesting.

For me the only sure one is Taking My Reincarnation One Step at a Time. And going by the names alone it looks like we get two administrative series in “Running the Kingdom Behind the Scenes” and “The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter”. Is this the new trend going forward? Nothing I immediately would peg as interesting, but I’ll give it a go.

The administration theme has already quite a few entries but not as many as otome villainess. I have read “How realist hero rebuilt the Kingdom” manga and I think the target audience is Japanese guys that Love bureaucracy.

I forgot Realist Hero. I liked the early volumes well enough (HATE everything Fuga related and dropped the series because of him) and the actual administrative tasks were on the light side in that series. I hope the two new series will keep the actual bureaucracy minimal as well.
