The part that makes me angriest about this is that they’re probably citing TerraCycle Japan as their recycling partner in this.
Like they do in this PR release about “recycling” their jelly drink packages
https://www.morinaga.co.jp/company/english/sustainability/environment/package.html
TerraCycle is a fraudulent greenwashing operation that produces attractive plastic collection containers, but doesn’t actually make sure that anything put in them actually gets recycled.
This has been proven over multiple lawsuits and reporting exposes.

and they don’t put fucking Plasticizers and microplastics in your milk!
This is the one thing they still have in common; metal cans usually have a plastic liner on the inside to keep the metal from leeching into the product and/or corroding it.

Le good old fashioned aluminum coke can with most of the aluminum off

Aluminum cans are what the liners are in more than any other metal since the acids in foods like tomatoes and beverages like soda can break it down.
To be replaced by more microplastic, of course! Yay!
