The Dangers in My Heart continues its record setting run atop the chart. I think just one more week and it will have been at #1 for its whole run. Mashle was able to muscle its way up into the top 3 this week above Frieren. I guess muscles > magic after all. I think one of the things I have been most surprised by this season is Solo Leveling lingering middle of the top 10. It had so much hype before the season started, but I don’t think it has really made the waves it wanted to since the start of the season.
I mean Solo Leveling has a pretty middling plot all things considered. It’s a better version of your average power fantasy Isekai (and not an Isekai), and I like how modern society managed to turn adventuring into a soulless blue collar job, but it certainly doesn’t live up to the hype unless you enjoy power fantasy stuff.
Dungeon Meshi is out of the top 10 again.
Everyone who has seen it gushes about it, but I fear some people haven’t given it a shot, not seeing past a funny premise, or the first few episodes.
I predict that as the second cour gets going, and with another fan favourite character joining the main cast, we will see the people who are watching it redouble their efforts to spread the gospel.
In fairness, Anime Corner is not necessarily representative. Neither is reddit, but Dungeon Meshi has consistently been in the top 5 in their rankings (currently #3) all season. For another point of comparison, it is currently #9 over on Anime Trending.
Didn’t realize Dungeon Meshi isn’t getting the attention it deserves, it’s been fantastic since the beginning, hope it gets more eyes.
I’ve definitely seen it picking up steam with youtubers beginning to make videos about how great it is. I think the fact that it’s going to continue airing for another 12 episodes will help keep that word-of-mouth momentum building.
Anime Corner is about to achieve the objectively wrong opinion this season.

On Netflix, and thereby fighting an uphill battle for watchers, I suspect.

Yeah, people probably think it’s not airing weekly when it actually is. Netflix has proven themselves very untrustworthy when it comes to how they broadcast anime.
Is Mashle S2 ever gonna get an English dub? Heard it was confirmed and usually it’s released 3-4 episodes after the series starts and we’re on what 10-12?
