I enjoyed the first episode. Perhaps because I used to follow the manga, so it gives me a different view on it - expectations on the characters and the relationship becoming deeper.
Still, note the “used to follow”. Eventually it becomes stale; the anime might go this way, too. Dunno - I’ll give the next episode a try, and see how it turns out.
