Vice Captain Hoshina manages to slice open Kaiju No. 8, revealing a standard kaiju anatomy with a core right in the middle of his chest. Fortunately for the story, Kafka manages to escape, and the rest of the episode is a celebration/aftermath of the rookies’ first real mission.
So mostly, Kafka making funny faces when (badly) trying to conceal his secret identity…
