[alt text: Text that says, “People [say] 'I never see butterflies or lightning bugs in my yard. Their yard: (colon)”. Below the text is a photo of a birds-eye view of a large house with an equally large yard. The lawn is covered in standard turfgrass (probably Kentucky bluegrass) that has been recently mowed.]

I’ll never understand how people think their ugly ass lawns look good. Overgrown landscape are so much better looking.

There’s a lot of small towns and cities that really embrace the natural landscape.

It’s a shame that all the new towns start by slapping down a disgusting piece of lawn. Makes the whole place look cheap and old fashion.

Those really confuse me to be honest, I thought you were the land of the free, why aren’t you allowed a bench in your garden?

If it’s utilitarian then it’s fine. Anything that requires a level field like with sports or other activities. For just looking at, it’s awful.
