Unfounded concerns, because receiving more than one absentee ballot for a voter doesn’t result in duplicate counts.

because the ballots have identical barcodes, if two ballots are submitted, only the first one scanned will be counted, Brogan said.

Also, once the ballot is scanned, the voter is marked in the poll book as having submitted an absentee ballot. That is another safeguard against the voter submitting a second ballot, the clerk’s office said.

Not surprised to see this FUD being promoted by OP. Of course, he didn’t write the article 🙄

I even have this guy marked as a troll (amazing feature btw) and still missed the op, just embarrassing.

How is it being promoted by me? I just posted the article. So is every single person in this community who posts an article “promoting” the person in the article?! Say what?!

How so? I didn’t write the article, didn’t edit the article, don’t host the article, and I have nothing to do with the news org that published the article. In fact, I haven’t even published it, I merely posted a link to the article.

And that news article is seen by WAY more eyes on it’s own website than here on Lemmy.

How in any concept of the word is that “propagating”?

So is every single one of the posters who posts an article here “propagating?” What?! lol

Yes, people select articles and propagate/disseminate them by choosing to post them. They often select based on their motive.

I wouldn’t expect that to be a controversial fact. There is some active editorial intent involved in choosing articles to post.

But I’ve posted articles that are critical of Trump, Stein, and Harris, as well as articles praising each of them.

So, if you’re assuming I agree with every viewpoint in the articles I post, how does that even work when I share so many conflicting perspectives?!

I also created and mod a political news community where people have posted articles praising Harris, criticizing Stein, and trashing me—yet I still leave those up.

I could have removed them. Seems like a lot of conflicting viewpoints for you to imply I have some agenda.

Thanks for noticing that I didn’t write the article. If you believe any part of the article is inaccurate, I encourage you to reach out to the news organization that published it. Thank you!
