I’m surprised nobody seems interested in this one. It’s been solidly in the top 10 since the season started and jumped up +5 last week.
We’re past the hook so the story has gotten real interesting. If you gave up on it after the first episode or 2 I recommend you give it another watch.
I just started the second season, so trying to catch up. So far I’d say its decent, but I’ve been told it gets way better.
The fight where the Minotaur explodes is peak Danmachi but IIRC it takes a whole season for it. The number of really emotional moments per season does pick up though.
The Ishtar Familia arc is a bit skeevy imo but sets up some key lore and characters. Other than that the rest is pretty solid. Season 5 is real slow at the start, especially if you hate the way females behave in the series, but by s04+ it is worth it.
