I’m generally not a fan of Jump, but I love this series. Would that more rom-coms were like this.
Meta - I hope I’m not stepping on any toes here. I was aware of this instance, but hadn’t really checked it out, and didn’t even think to look for a manga community here until yesterday, when I saw another thread about the issues between ani.social and lemmy.ml.
I’ve been looking for a home since June. I started out posting exclusively on manga@kbin.social, partly because I like kbin and partly because I don’t much like lemmy.ml. But that was pretty much just talking into a void, and I finally gave up and started crossposting to lemmy.ml, then finally just moved there. But though it’s a relatively active community, I still just don’t much like lemmy.ml, just on principle.
And this whole deal with them and ani.social is one example of why, so that, in addition to the fact that this seems to be a pleasant and active community, makes me want to move here, at least primarily and maybe exclusively.
But some forums welcome anyone and everyone while others are insular, and I don’t know which this is. I worried about the same thing on lemmy.ml, but I didn’t care much, so I figured if I stepped on toes, that was their problem. But I do care here, so…
I don’t want to be seen to be flooding anyone’s feed or forcing myself on a community - I just want to share things I like. I hope that’s okay.
It’s not surprising that you only recently learned about this community since I only started it after the defederation from ml. I had been posting to the ml community, but the defederation got me to look into the devs/admins some more and I didn’t really like what I saw. I talked briefly in the meta thread the other day about why I think the anime/manga communities might not find a long-lasting home on ml.
This community is only ~1 week old, so it is a bit of a void at the moment, but it has been growing steadily. Happy to have more active contributors/participants going forward!

Awesome.
Funny that I read that meta post but didn’t see your reply, but managed to reason my way to finding this community anyway.
All right - I’m all-in here. And looking forward to it.
