Alright gang. Another episode of Metallic Rouge is here. I have my chocolate bar ready.
We finally get to see Rouge meet up with her brother. Just as he is about to go to some secret underground lair. Not suspicious at all…
Have I mentioned how much I love this OP? It’s a killer song.
Alright, secret library full of books that aren’t actually books, but instead something like a hard drive? Anyway, the whole place is the memories of Rouge’s and Gene’s father.
We got to see Rouge’s very first chocolate bar experience! I cracked open another chocolate bar to commemorate the occasion.
Ok, so this scientist lady is the one that created the Asimov code and took away the free will of the Neans. And, she is Gene’s mother.
Code Eve, something that came up in the vision from the carnival I think, is a code hidden in the cores of the Immortal Nine, that, when activated will somehow turn off the Asimov code and free the Neans.
That is why people are after the Immortal Nine…to get the code so that they can…not use it?
Breaking up the bullet point format here. I know I have joked about the story of this show a lot, but I really don’t get this part. So, Gene, Naomi, etc. all want this Code Eve. However, they don’t plan on using it until the right time? How do they expect to ever create the right conditions in which freeing an entire class of people from subservience won’t cause an upheaval? I frankly don’t see any kind of logic in their thinking. It’s always going to be extremely disruptive, so sooner would be better in that case. The moral argument should win out. Anyway…back to the my chronological thoughts…
Apparently Rouge has a younger sister now too named Cyan. Is it just me or does her design remind anybody else of Lycoris Recoil?
Jill and Co. are attacking Naomi and Co. to get back the cores from the Immortal Nine. Also, shout out to Grauphon for having a sick ability of something like gravity/spatial manipulation. Looking forward to seeing more of him.
I don’t think it is surprising, but the final piece to the Code Eve puzzle is actually in Rouge! The show pitched this as some kind of reveal during this sequence…but I thought we already knew that from the flashback with Rouge’s mom?
Noid is gone. As soon as I saw the framing of that shot, I knew what was going to happen. RIP
Everybody is here for a climactic battle! Hoping to see some Grauphon action next episode.
