Oh man, this show grew to become one of my favorites of the season. Just so many jokes and gags in an otherwise super serious story about human extinction. The two sides of the story are woven together so seamlessly and have influenced each other. Just a small example from this episode is when Isami is cutting himself free from being tied up, he says BRAVE ZUBASH. Does he need to do that? Would he have done anything like that early in the season? No, not at all. However, he is getting sucked into the cheesy hero shtick even when Bravern isn’t around, and what would have once felt so out of place for his character feels like it fits perfectly.
