Another week in the books. Let’s chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.

Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).

This post went up a little earlier than normal this week because I have to get up super early tomorrow morning for travel and I won’t have time to do the post like normal.

Over this past week, I have largely been catching up on a bit of backlog. A couple things of note:

    • Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san - Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro! - The series ended this past week. The series overall turned out way better than I would have thought based on the opening chapters all that time ago. There is supposed to be an epilogue chapter later in August when the final volume releases, so I am looking forward to that. Mixed feelings about the ending, but positive feelings about the series. Good luck with whatever comes next nanashi!
    • Renge to Naruto! - Renge and Naruto! - Been really enjoying this one. It is roughly at the end of the second volume and it really seems like both leads are at least self-aware enough to acknowledge their feelings to themselves. It is quicker than most series, but it hasn’t felt rushed.
    • Miyu-chan wa Zutto Tomodachi - Miyu-chan Will Always Be Your Friend - I have really enjoyed this series and really wish there was a bunch more of it to read. I have found this series really tough to categorize. Is it romance? mystery? horror? The answer is kind of yes to all of those. Really curious to see where it goes.

I just picked up I Can’t Choose a Childhood Friend! (Osananajimi wo Erabenai!), a very new series. In fact, it has only 2 chapters.

So far, it looks like a combination of 100 Girlfriends and Pseudo Harem. It does not appear to be as batshit as 100gf, though 100gf started off rather tame too. I’ve yet to begin reading the Pseudo Harem manga, so I can’t really compare the two.

The first two chapters are entertaining enough to keep me hooked, so I’ll be following it.

Don’t have much to add this week since I’m mostly sticking with the usual stuff. I did however go through Go! Go! Madoromi-chan. again. It’s an adorable slice-of-life manga about a young horned girl. It’s sweet, it’s fun, it’s a great way to put a smile on my face. Always a fun one to go back to.
