Well at least she didn’t get screwed out of her money. The guy sucks but it seems she came out of the engagement relatively unscathed.

Their marriage would’ve been pretty miserable as well. Definitely a stroke of luck for Dahlia that Tobias called it off.

    Dahlia has so many allies.

They spent so much time showing the logistics of how the engagement gets nullified, and surprisingly it was pretty engaging to watch. It felt like getting a glimpse into this fantasy world. All the people involved with the legal work seemed to be allied with Dahlia as well, which seems like a bit of a conflict of interest… I expect Tobias got a high interest loan.

Glad that Dahlia gets her protagonist hair color back.

At the end it looks like Dahlia meets the man featured in the OP and series poster. From the OP I was not expecting him to be a knight. Their meet cute is an interesting situation; I’m curious in how this will fold out.

I was really worried after the previous episode but I’m glad it worked out. As much as I hate Tobias and think he should have called off the engagement sooner (because Dahlia definitely wouldn’t have) at least he stopped it before things got really messy. I don’t think he’s necessarily a bad person, just incredibly stupid, with an inferiority complex and lacking a spine. I’ve unfortunately seen that archetype before irl multiple times.

Apart from that, I want to mention that this is what good worldbuilding looks like. You’d think the legal process would be boring to watch but it was actually really well done because it accomplished multiple goals. It showed the structure of how civil matters are handled, it showed Dahlia being careful and showed that she’s surrounded by plenty of supporters. It also worked as one more push to get her to be more true to herself.

I’m definitely going to pick up the source material once the anime is done airing.

I gave up and read the released manga chapters. If I disliked Tobias already, due to ep02, the manga made me want to paint a wall with his face. Good motherfucking riddance!

A shame that they didn’t adapt the part where she’s still speaking with a feminine pattern, but a male voice. It would be cute.

I like this adaptation more that LN. The music and slow pace really add to the vibe despite questionable quality 3DCG. It didn’t really interested me in the direction it was going in later volumes but chill slice of life making some dope magical devices is enjoyable.

Good riddance. While I don’t like saying this, good on Tobias for calling the engagement off. Dahlia wouldn’t have, and an actual marriage would have been way worse. Seems he’s not entirely braindead.

Also, those fucking shadows man. They just don’t make sense.
