I know that I’m somewhat misusing the meme, but…

Trying to keep things spoiler free, but Mio/Hibiki interactions are always hilarious. The trauma that Hibiki carries with her from Mio is carved deep in her soul.

        I love their interactions, too!

And in this specific case it shows how overpowered Makoto has become - Hibiki was also isekai’d, the goddess actually granted her some cheats, and yet Mio was able to wipe out her party. In the meantime Makoto was able to tame the put the same Mio (perhaps even stronger) into a submission contract.

Just got a chance to watch the second episode and I thought it was laid out in an interesting way. The episode is clearly split between the two other heroes brought to the new world along with Makoto (with a couple quips that Makoto interjects, breaking the fourth wall a bit). This episode feels a bit out of place because this is all story that was skipped over in the first season. In case you weren’t aware, there was a lot of skipped content from season 1. So, in order to tell the story going forward, the show is going to have to fill in some of those blanks.

In the first half, we see Hibiki as she struggles with adjusting to her new violent life. She is making full use of her charisma as she assembles her heroes party. Naval in particular is a great character that I like from the source, so I was glad to see the series put a bit of focus on her. Naval is a really important character to Hibiki, so making the viewer invested in the companionship they share will pay dividends later.

In the second half, we see the other hero, Tomoki. I am not going to talk about him too much because I think it is too easy to slip into spoiler territory. However, I think the characterization they have shown of Tomoki is interesting. I forget now how he was introduced in the source, but I remember it having a very different feel. Also, Lily was done really well imo. She is as cold and calculating as I remember her.

I expect a lot more story revolving around these two heroes in the next couple episodes because it was all cut content from season 1.
